Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce got a bunch of people worked up over the weekend thanks to his escapades at “Kelce Jam.”

A story on the New York Post website had this headline: “Travis Kelce chugs beer, spikes Lombardi Trophy in wild scene.”

A headline at Outkick.com said: “Travis Kelce drinks beer off Lombardi Trophy, raps with Machine Gun Kelly.”

NBC Sports wrote about it, too. On Twitter, video of Kelce with what was a replica trophy had more than 5 million views.

And while Kelce once did drink a beer off a Lombardi Trophy (after Super Bowl LIV), the one at Kelce Jam at Azura Amphitheatre was a replica.

Still, NFL Network host Rich Eisen talked with Chiefs coach Andy Reid on Monday, and Eisen wasn’t sure if Kelce threw down the actual Lombardi Trophy the Chiefs won in Super Bowl LVII.

“Did Travis Kelce really spike the Lombardi Trophy over the weekend? Did that really happen, coach?” Eisen asked.

“Yeah, it wasn’t the Tiffany though,” Reid said on “The Rich Eisen Show.” “It was tin but not probably the same grade as the Tiffany one.”

Reid went on to talk about his famous tight end.

“Travis does it, you know, he does it a little different,” Reid said. “He’s a great, great kid with a huge heart. I think you know that. And he loves to have fun, but he would never spike the real one.

“But give him a fake one and it’s going down, it looks like.”

Eisen was amazed by the quality of the replica Lombardi Trophy.

“They make those,” Reid noted. “They’re out there. Patrick (Mahomes) gave one away on our parade. So I mean, these Lombardis are floating around, man.”

That moment also went viral as people believed Mahomes simply handed the Lombardi Trophy to a fan.

Eisen was glad to hear Mahomes didn’t hand the real Lombardi Trophy to a fan on the parade route.

“No, you know it took us a long time to get back to the Super Bowl and to get that first one, so somebody must have been making a killing on making these things,” Reid said of the fake Lombardi. “Everybody in town’s got one.”

Here is Eisen’s interview with Reid, who shared some details on how the Chiefs draft and Mahomes’ competitiveness.
