The Chiefs had just fallen behind in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium but they were running a two-minute drill.

Facing a second-and-10 play from their own 41-yard line with 32 seconds left in the half, the Chiefs got a huge chunk play when quarterback Patrick Mahomes connected with wide receiver Justin Watson.

Watson showed off his toe-drag swag by hauling in the ball for a 23-yard reception on the sideline.

That catch helped get the Chiefs into field-goal range and they tied the game with a Harrison Butker kick.

But for many fans, that wasn’t the best catch Watson made Sunday.

The Chiefs got the ball to start the second half, and appeared to be stuck in neutral. They lost 8 yards on their first two plays and it was third down from the Chiefs’ 17-yard line.

Minnesota got immediate pressure on Mahomes and he threw a pass toward Watson. Minnesota safety Camryn Bynum had great position to either get an interception or knock the ball away.

Instead, Watson channeled Randy Moss and made a sensational catch for a 33-yard gain.

Chiefs fans were impressed with Watson, and a couple of them apologized for doubting him this season.

Here is what they were saying.
