Kansas City Chiefs HC Andy Reid updated media members on a pair of injuries after the Week 4 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

They had one injury on the offensive side of the ball and another on the defensive side. Both players finished the game without exiting due to their injuries, suggesting the injuries are minor in nature.

“For the injury part of it, L’Jarius Sneed tweaked his ankle a little bit,” Reid said. “Trey Smith hurt his pec a little bit. I think we’re OK here with that part.”

Sneed recorded the team’s only sack of the night and it was an important one that created a turnover. He also led the team in tackles on the night. The ankle injury must not have been too serious considering he was still out there covering receivers in the final seconds of the fourth quarter. He also spoke to the media after the game, indicating that the injury was minor.

Smith was part of the five players who won the battle in the offensive trenches in Week 4. He’s been dealing with a few injuries throughout the course of the season so far, but none of them seem to be major.

Fairly early in the game, Chiefs S Justin Reid was evaluated for a concussion, but he was later cleared to return and play in the game. There was no mention of that injury as Reid also finished the game with no issues.

Ultimately, it seems like the team escaped this game without any major injuries. They now have eight days to get healthy from whatever bumps and bruises they’re dealing with before they’ll face the Las Vegas Raiders on “Monday Night Football.”
