The Kansas City Chiefs have touched down in Phoenix, Arizona ahead of Super Bowl LVII and they were greeted with a pleasant surprise.

Chiefs legend Christian Okoye also known as “The Nigerian Nightmare” was waiting on the tarmac to greet the team as they arrived. The former NFL fullback played his entire career with Kansas City from 1987-1992, twice earning All-Pro and Pro Bowl selections along with leading the league in rushing yards in 1989.

Okoye was designated alongside former Eagles DB Eric Allen as the NFL alums set to greet both teams as they arrived in Arizona. Okoye did just that, shaking the hands of every single member of the team as they got off the plane. He even snapped a quick selfie with Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, which TE Travis Kelce aptly photobombed.

Okoye’s comments on the selfie that he took with Mahomes were priceless.

“Yes, of course, I have to get a selfie with Patrick (Mahomes),” Okoye proclaimed to Fox 4 KC’s Harold R. Kuntz. “He’s the man.”
