The Chicago Bears failed to register a sack of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes during Sunday’s game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. And he was hit just five times by a Bears player.

However, Mahomes admitted to feeling pressure during the Chiefs’ 41-10 rout. But it was a different kind of stress than he feels on a football field.

This was because Mahomes wanted to make sure tight end Travis Kelce got a touchdown with his special friend, Taylor Swift, watching in an Arrowhead suite.

Mahomes said Kelce casually mentioned Friday that the most popular singer would be at the Chiefs-Bears game.

While initially unsure if Swift would actually be there, Mahomes said he got wind of her visit. And he wanted to make his friend look good, so a touchdown was imperative.

“I felt a little bit of pressure and so I knew I had to get it to Trav,” Mahomes told Fox Sports’ Erin Andrews after the game. “And of course it was on a route where Travis, he does his own thing and just makes up a route and I throw it to him. So I think he wanted to get in the end zone just as much as all the Swifties wanted him to.”

Swift got a charge out of the touchdown and her fans (Swifties) probably did, too.

Here is the Mahomes interview with Andrews.
