After four months on the run, Xaviar Michael Babudar was arrested Friday in California.

Babudar, who is known by Chiefs fans for dressing as a wolf at games at Arrowhead Stadium, had cut off a monitoring device he was wearing after robbing an Oklahoma bank in December.

That made national news at the time, particularly on the “Pat McAfee Show.” After Babudar went on the run, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his brother Jason offered to have Babudar on their “New Heights” podcast.

The Los Angeles Chargers included Babudar in their 2023 schedule release.

Another Chiefs player apparently was aware of the arrest of “Chiefsaholic,” his time on the lam and subsequent arrest.

Wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling retweeted a national NFL writer who had shared the news of Babudar’s capture.

“Free the (goat emoji),” Valdes-Scantling wrote on Twitter.

That most likely was a joke from Valdes-Scantling, and the vast majority of people who responded to his tweet shared laughing emojis. However, some were not happy to see the Chiefs receiver seemingly show support for an alleged bank robber.

Here are just a few of the many responses to Valdes-Scantling’s message.
