Four years ago, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce grabbed a microphone being held by CBS Sports’ Jim Nantz and quoted a Beastie Boys song.

The buildup started slow as Kelce noted he’d waited seven years to win an AFC Championship Game, which the Chiefs had done that day against the Tennessee Titans.

“I learned one thing since I’ve been here,” Kelce said, “You gotta fight for your right to paaaaarttttty!”

The crowd at GEHA FIeld at Arrowhead Stadium roared its approval. “Fight For Your Right” has become an anthem of sorts for the Chiefs, who will be going for a third Super Bowl title since that night.

The song is now played when the Chiefs score a touchdown at Arrowhead Stadium, and Kelce belted out the song last year on “The Tonight Show.”

After the Chiefs’ 17-10 win over the Ravens in the AFC Championship Game, Kelce started selling a T-shirt through his Tru Kolors fashion line. It has Kelce’s face on the front and includes the words “Fight for your right to party!”

Here is the description of the shirt from the Tru Kolors website: “This premium washed tee is standard fit, with high grade soft screen print referencing the iconic Conference winning 2023-2024 Championship game, next stop Las Vegas. The perfect tee to wear with a pair of jeans or with our KC Vintage Sweatpant.”

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the T-shirts will be donated to Kelce’s 87 & Running Foundation, Tru Kolors said.
