Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce last played golf together at the Wynn Las Vegas course where they won the 2022 “8AM Golf Invitational,” which was hosted by singer/actor Justin Timberlake.

The Chiefs stars will be back at the Wynn Las Vegas course on June 29 for the “The Match,” where they will take on Golden State Warriors players Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.

Kelce was on FanDuel TV on Wednesday to talk about the golf event, and he poked fun at the Raiders in the process without actually mentioning the AFC West foe.

When asked about his level of confidence leading up to “The Match” event, Kelce said: “Well I mean, me and my guy Pat Mahomes have never lost in Vegas and that even dates back to a golf tournament.”

Mahomes, Kelce and the Chiefs are 3-0 against the Raiders in Las Vegas. It started with a 35-31 victory in 2020 at Allegiant Stadium, followed by a 41-14 thrashing in 2021 and January’s 31-13 win, which featured the Chiefs’ Snow Globe huddle.

“I tell you what, Pat’s gonna have to save me on a few shots, but there are going to be some shots that I get close and hold my own weight,” Kelce noted.

Kelce added that he expects some trash-talking to take place on the links.

“I’m interested to see what the dynamic is,” Kelce said. “I usually get a little competitive, start talking smack and everything like that, and I don’t know if the baby face assassin and Klay Thompson like to yap a little bit.

“Well, I think Klay gets after it a little bit. But we’ll find out.”

Here is a clip from that conversation.
