Chiefs undrafted free-agent tracker: Another Tennessee offensive lineman is joining KC

The picks have been made in the 2023 NFL Draft in Kansas City, but all 32 teams are still hard at work.

The many undrafted players are now free agents and can sign with any team. The Chiefs will be signing those free agents for the next few days.

Indiana defensive tackle Demarcus Elliott is signing with the Chiefs, per Yardbarker. The 6-foot-3, 315-pound Elliott played at Garden City High School in Kansas and then Garden City Community College before transferring to the Hoosiers. He had 1 1/2 sacks and 4 1/2 tackles for loss in 2022.

Missouri State cornerback Montrae Braswell is signing with the Chiefs, the Bears football program said. Braswell, who previously played at Central Michigan, is 6-foot and 190 pounds. He ranked second in kickoff return average (30.3 yards) a year ago. He had four interceptions in 2021.

James Madison quarterback Todd Centeio has an invitation to join the Chiefs rookie minicamp, the school’s football program said. A former Colorado State player, Centeio completed 64% of his passes a year ago for 2,697 yards with 25 touchdowns and five interceptions. He also rushed for 393 yards and seven touchdowns.

Tarleton State offensive lineman Blake Haynes will be joining the Chiefs, according to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson. Haynes is 6-6 and 305 pounds.

Tennessee offensive lineman Jerome Carvin is signing an undrafted free-agent deal with the Chiefs, his former high school tweeted. He played at Cordova High School in Memphis. Carvin played in 60 games with the Vols, making 43 starts. He is 6-5 and 321 pounds.

The Chiefs drafted former Tennessee and Oklahoma offensive lineman Wanya Morris in the third round on Friday. Chiefs guard Trey Smith is another former Vol.

Indiana Hoosiers linebacker Cam Jones has a deal with the Chiefs, the Indiana Student Daily reported. Jones had 208 tackles in his career. The NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported Jones is getting a $15,000 signing bonus and $135,000 in a base salary guarantee.

Jones is one of three players in Indiana history to be a team captain in three seasons, joining Antwaan Randle El (1999-2001) and Emmett King (1895-97), the school noted. He was an honorable mention All-Big Ten selection a year ago.

Missouri safety Martez Manuel is signing with the Chiefs, reports ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. Manuel, who is from Columbia, is 6-foot and 213 pounds. He had 49 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, four sacks and a pass-breakup for the Tigers in 2022.

Kansas State cornerback Ekow Boye-Doe has been invited to Chiefs minicamp, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. Ekow Boye-Doe, who played at Lawrence High School, is 6-foot and 171 pounds. He started 35 games for the Wildcats, including the final 27 of his career.

Louisiana Monroe nose tackle Caleb Thomas has been invited to Chiefs rookie minicamp, according to New England Football Journal. Thomas, who is 6-1 and 299 pounds, had 8 1/2 tackles for loss in 2022. He played at UConn earlier in his career.

Tulane tight end Tyrick James said he will be joining the Chiefs. James, 6-2 and 235 pounds, had 18 receptions for 202 yards and three touchdowns a year ago.

Virginia Tech tight end Connor Blumrick has been invited to minicamp, according to Damien Sordelett of the Roanoke Times. Blumrick is 6-5 and 222 pounds. He had three catches a year ago and spent time at quarterback in the 2021 season.

Harvard defensive lineman Truman Jones, according to Mass Live’s Mark Daniels. Jones, who is 6 foot 4 and 242 pounds, was a team captain for Harvard a year ago. He had six sacks last year and 14 1/2 in his career.

Merrimack College defensive back Anthony Witherstone signed with the Chiefs, the school said. Witherstone is 6-2 and 190 pounds. He broke up five passes and had an interception last season.

Tyler Roberts, who played H-Back for Merrimack, was invited to Chiefs minicamp, the school said. Roberts is 6-3 and 240 pounds. He was limited to seven games a year ago, but had 52 receptions for 535 yards and six touchdowns in 2021.

Southern Utah punter Jake Gerardi has an invitation to rookie minicamp, reports Rachel Hopmayer of Spectrum 1 Buffalo. Gerardi averaged 44.7 yards per punt in three seasons and put 39 balls inside the 20-yard line.

Appalachian State offensive lineman Anderson Hardy has a deal with the Chiefs, according to Heavy reporter Matt Lombardo. Hardy, who is 6-6 and 294 pounds, made 29 starts, including 28 straight to end his college career.

New Hampshire wide receiver Sean Coyne has been invited to Chiefs rookie minicamp, the school said. Coyne is 6-foot and 190 pounds. He caught 88 passes with 892 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns in his four-year career.

Texas safety Anthony Cook is signing with the Chiefs, according to NFL Draft Diamonds. Cook, who is 6-1 and 188 pounds, played five seasons with the Longhorns. He had 61 tackles, 3 1/2 tackles for loss and five pass breakups last season.

Tulsa running back Deneric Prince has a deal with the Chiefs, the Score’s Jordan Schultz reported. Prince played in eight games a year ago, rushing for 729 yards (5.8 yards per carry) and five touchdowns. He previously played at Texas A&M.

Cincinnati offensive lineman Jeremy Cooper was invited to Chiefs rookie minicamp, the Draft Network’s Ryan Fowler reported. He is 6-2 and 295 pounds.

North Carolina State linebacker Isaiah Moore is signing with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent, reports The Wolfpacker. That site notes Moore was an honorable mention All-ACC last fall and had 82 tackles a year ago. He is 6-2 and 233 pounds.

Marshall safety Isaiah Norman has a rookie minicamp invite from the Chiefs, Lombardo reported. Norman, who is 6-1 and 205 pounds, started 11 games a year ago.

Washburn’s James Letcher, a wide receiver/punt returner, has been invited to the Chiefs’ rookie minicamp, says NFL reporter Wilson. Letcher, who was a star at Piper High School, is 5 foot 8 and 175 pounds. He had 228 career receptions for 2,992 yards and 29 touchdowns with the Ichabods.

Grand Valley State offensive lineman Quinton Barrow has a deal with the Chiefs, his school tweeted. He is 6 foot 6 and 331 pounds.

Fresno State wide receiver Nikko Remigio has a deal with the Chiefs, reports Equity Sports. Remigio, 5-11 and 185 pounds, caught 74 passes for 852 yards and six touchdowns a year ago.

Fellow Bulldogs receiver Zane Pope was invited to Chiefs rookie minicamp, Wilson reported. Pope, who is 6-2 and 195 pounds, caught 50 passes for 629 yards last fall.

Wilson also reported Northern Arizona corner Alonzo Davis will be at Chiefs rookie minicamp.

Toledo tight end Jamal Turner has been invited to Chiefs rookie minicamp, Wilson reported. Turner, 6-6 and 245 pounds, caught 29 passes for 378 yards and eight touchdowns a year ago.

Defensive back Siriman Harrison Bagayogo of the University of Guelph in Canada was invited to Chiefs rookie minicamp, according to 3 Down Nation. That site said Bagayogo had 50 1/2 tackles, one interception, two forced fumbles and two blocked kicks in 23 career games.

Louisiana Tech tackle Josh Mote was invited to Chiefs rookie minicamp, per Wilson. He is 6 foot 3 and weighs 306 pounds.

Purdue cornerback Reese Taylor will be signing as an undrafted free agent, reports Tom Dienhart, who covers the Boilermakers. Taylor is 5-11 and 190 pounds. He had one interception a year ago and also returned some punts for Purdue.

The first signing came minutes after the draft ended. NFL Draft Diamonds reported the Chiefs have a deal with Missouri State wide receiver Ty Scott. Scott, who is 6-3 and 202 pounds, led the Bears last season in receptions (48), receiving yards (674) and touchdown catches (five).
