  • Nextdoor Neighbor, Vinings and Paces Lake: "I just want to give a shout out to the fire station we have here in Vinings. - The personnel who work here are the most caring, professional, compassionate group of EMT's we could possibly be blessed with as a community. Since my husband was diagnosed with lung cancer a year ago, we have had to call for their assistance numerous times for everything from a stroke, to pulmonary embolism to atrial fibrillation to a fall, you name it, we've needed their help for it. In this day and age where everyone is complaining justifiably about the length of time it can take to get help when calling 911, in the 5 times I've had to call them since May 2021, they have arrived promptly, remembered his medical history, used their knowledge and strength to keep him safe and stable until the ambulance arrives and comforted his worried wife with soft conversation and promises of prayer. In all the things we have to be thankful for in this yearlong journey through serious illness, the Vinings Fire Department EMT's are at the top of our list. We are very blessed as a community to have such dedicated, caring souls looking out for all of us and we cannot thank them enough for all they do for us." (Nextdoor)

  • Nextdoor Neighbor, Barfield: "It was amazing to watch this Northern Red Cardinal eat on my new window bird feeder. - What a beautiful bird!" (Nextdoor)
