'Children can get COVID': Sharon Osbourne reveals her granddaughter Minnie, 3, tests positive

The pandemic has hit close to home for the Osbourne family.

On Monday’s Season 11 premiere of “The Talk,” Sharon Osbourne revealed that her granddaughter Minnie, Jack Osbourne’s 3-year-old daughter, has tested positive for COVID-19.

"I was meant to be in the studio, I was so looking forward to it," said Osbourne, who appeared virtually alongside co-host Eve, while Carrie Ann Inaba and Sheryl Underwood appeared in person. "And then, unfortunately, one of my granddaughters (Minnie) has come down with COVID."

Osbourne said Minnie is "doing good" after contracting the virus "from somebody who works for my son." She said her granddaughter's diagnosis "just goes to show you … that children can get COVID."

"She's OK," Osbourne shared. "Her daddy doesn’t have it. Her mommy (actress Lisa Stelly) doesn’t have it. Her sisters don't." Jack Osbourne and Stelly, who divorced in 2019 after six years of marriage, also share daughters Pearl, 8, and Andy Rose, 5.

Although Osbourne tested negative for COVID-19, the talk-show host said she has "one more week left of quarantining" before she can return to work.

"I want to see you guys so bad," she said. "I don't have it. I keep testing negative, but you have to be safe."

During an interview with "Entertainment Tonight" in May, Jack said he's "keeping my head down and trying to stay as healthy as possible."

"I'm doing great, you know," he said. "There's, like, this looming shadow of impending doom, and like, 'Oh my god, I can't believe this is happening.' But then I'm on a really good routine at home. I'm exercising every day. I'm, like, being one of those (people). Trying to do good at home."

Osbourne was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2012.
