New children’s learning lab opening in Donaldsonville

DONALDSONVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) — A new learning lab opens this week in Ascension Parish.

On Wednesday, Jan., 31 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Family Resource Group, Inc. and the Family Resource Group Foundation will reveal the new Kid Scoop News Literacy and Learning Lab located at the study commons, 1221 Maginnis Street.

Presenters at the ribbon cutting will include Amy Foreman, Publisher of Family Resource Group, Inc., Baton Rouge Parents Magazine, Kid Scoop News, Nola Family Magazine, Louisiana Boomers Magazine; Ascension Parish Sheriff, Bobby Webre; Donaldsonville Mayor Leroy Sullivan; East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor President Sharon Weston Broome; Drew Tessier, Senior Director Public Affairs, Union Pacific Railroad; and Ascension Parish Library Director, John Stelly.
