Children's kickball tourney raises thousands for Alzheimer's research

A children's kickball tournament raised thousands of dollars in the fight to end Alzheimer's disease. Grant, 13, and April, 11, hosted the game in honor of their grandmother, Idaline Lipsky, who has Alzheimer's disease, as part of the Alzheimer's Association's fundraiser, "The Longest Day." The children initially set a goal to raise $5,000, but they exceeded that and raised more than $9,500 for Alzheimer's research. The games were played Monday at Fort Garrison Elementary School in Pikesville.
