It's hard to believe that the regular season is almost over.
Many area girls' soccer teams only have three to four games left before districts. While some teams have an easy ride to the end of January, others have some competitive matches left.
Here are where area girls teams fall in this week's power rankings.

FHSAA ranking: No. 57 (6A)
It's been a rough stretch for the Lions, going 0-5 since mid-December. But there may be some good news on the horizon. Leon's next match is against Columbia, which remains Leon's only victory of the year. A win over the Tigers would be big in building some momentum before districts.

Another team that has picked up momentum is Taylor County, going 5-0-1 over its last six matches. In that stretch, it has outscored opponents 43-1. Kinsey Goodman had a standout performance in the Bulldogs' most recent victory, a recording hat trick in an 11-0 win over Franklin County.

FHSAA ranking: No. 21 (3A)
The Marauders have been on a hot streak in January. They are 3-0-1 in their last four matches, punctuated by a shutout win over Lincoln. Maclay also tied Florida High, which could set up for an exciting meeting down the road in the postseason. The Marauders have a big-time match Friday at Chiles.
No. 4: Wakulla
Last result: vs. Port St. Joe W 3-0
FHSAA ranking: No. 24 (4A)
One of the hottest teams in the Big Bend has a chance to avenge its only loss of the season, traveling to Florida High Friday. Since their last meeting with the Seminoles, the War Eagles are 5-0-2. No. 3: Florida High
Last result: vs. St. John Paul II W 7-0
FHSAA ranking: No. 32 (3A)
The Seminoles have four regular-season matches remaining, including key showdowns against Wakulla and P.K. Yonge. Heading into this final stretch, Florida High has gone 2-0-1.
No. 2: Lincoln
Last result: vs. Marianna W
FHSAA ranking: No. 19 (6A)
Following a 3-0 loss to Maclay in early January, the Trojans are 5-0-1 record heading into a challenging final stretch against Arnold, Maclay, Dwyer (Palm Beach Gardens), and Suncoast (Rivera Beach). FHSAA ranking: No. 15 (6A)
Holding down the No. 1 spot once again is Chiles, which is also coming into an exciting final stretch.
