The cold front has arrived in Florida. When will it end?

Universal Volcano Bay, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and SeaWorld Orlando’s Aquatica are closed Monday and Tuesday because of chilly temperatures, according to WTSP.

How cold are we talking about?

Many areas across east Central Florida are waking up Tuesday to temperatures in the upper 30s to low 40s, according to the National Weather Service in Melbourne.

Highs are expected to be in the mid-60s this week across Central Florida, with temperatures dropping again into the low 40s Tuesday night, according to the weather service.

Those living in the Bradenton area also saw temperatures in the 40s Monday night — but the forecast shows it slightly rising into the mid-50s the rest of the week, with highs near 70 during the day.

What about South Florida?

Forecasters says the region felt this year’s “coldest air of the season” Monday night, and it will be cold again on Tuesday night.

But, it’s still more bearable than the rest of the state.

Monday started off comfortable, with highs near 80, but it didn’t last. Forecasters said temperatures dropped into the low 50s by nightfall, according to the National Weather Service in South Florida.

Broward County also went into a Cold Weather Emergency and opened cold-night shelters Monday as windchills were expected to make temperatures feel like the upper 30s or low 40s.

The chilly weather is forecast to stay the rest of the week with highs near 70 and lows in the 50s and 60s.

Tuesday is forecast to be the coldest day in South Florida this week, with a high that won’t reach 70. Temperatures will also dip into the 50s Tuesday night, but it’s expected to be slightly warmer than Monday night.

If you were making plans to visit Santa’s Enchanted Forest, make sure you bundle up. In addition to the chilly weather Monday and Tuesday nights, lows will be in the 50s for the rest of the week.

Temperatures will start to rise again Thursday — but it won’t be until Friday when highs will rebound to near 80.

While it will be cold, the good news is that skies are expected to be clear and sunny through the weekend.
