Chillicothe zombie film will premier at Majestic Theatre in December

CHILLICOTHE― Local filmmakers are holding a Chillicothe premiere of their zombie movie, "How I Got Here" at the Majestic Theatre on Dec. 18.

Filmed in Chillicothe, the movie focuses on a group of survivors, including a young boy who grows up during the outbreak and learns to survive.

The movie held a sold-out premiere in October at Studio 35 Cinema & Drafthouse in Columbus. Producers, directors and actors Daniel Griesheimer, Eric Zanni and Dylan Hughes are holding their first Chillicothe showing in December.

“We want to give our town the opportunity to experience the film in a Hollywood-type fashion," Griesheimer said.

The event will be pre-selling general admission tickets and an exclusive VIP experience package online. All guests can expect to meet the cast and crew, attend a Q & A session after each screening and have their photo taken on the red carpet.

VIP ticket-holders will have a personal undead usher escort them to their seats, special VIP entry, large popcorn and drink, official How I Got Here Magnets and a Blu-Ray disc and an exclusive VIP badge and lanyard.

General admission tickets are $10 and VIP tickets are $30.

The Majestic Theatre is located at 45 East 2nd St. The film will have a showing on Dec. 18 at noon and 6 p.m. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the How I Got Here Facebook event page.
