China 'wants quick resolution' to Ukraine conflict
STORY: After a closed-door meeting of 27 defence ministers and their representatives, Ng said China had been urged to take a stronger stance.
“Because concern is if there is an appeasement, there is looking away from when sacred laws or rules are broken, would you encourage further violations of international law,” Ng said.
During the meeting, which U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Chinese Defence Minister Wei Fenghe attended, ministers discussed ties between China and Russia, and several asked Beijing to do more to rein in Moscow.
