Moment truck slams into back of 200 car pile-up on Chinese bridge surrounded by fog

Eyewitness footage shows a truck smashing into the back of a 200 car pile-up on a bridge in China that left one person dead.
Drivers in the city of Zhengzhou, Henan province, faced severely reduced visibility at the time of the crash as they were surrounded by heavy fog.
Videos shared on Chinese social media platform Weibo shows several cars and trucks crumpled and piled up on top of each other.
Aerial photos show a long line of cars, trucks, lorries and other vehicles on the Zhengxin Huanghe bridge – a major overpass across the Yellow River connecting Zhengzhou and neighbouring Xinxiang.
One clip shows a lorry slamming directly into the pile-up - shunting some cars forward into vehicles ahead while sirens ring in the background.

A man can be heard saying in Mandarin: "Scared me to death, it's all full of (people), just look. I don't think I can get down from here? How will I get down?"
The heavy fog meant visibility was down to less than 500 metres (1,640 feet) in some areas, including Zhengzhou, dropping to 200 metres (656 feet) at times, forecasters said.
Chinese state media reported that a total of 11 fire trucks and 66 firefighters were sent to the scene. Police shut down the bridge while drivers were rescued, and traffic resumed later in the afternoon.
Several hours after the accident, police shared a warning on Weibo warning drivers not to cross the bridge due to the fog, and to watch their speed, use their lights and leave dangerous areas as soon as they can.
