Chinese woman guilty of trespassing at Trump's Mar-a-Lago faces prison

A Chinese woman convicted of trespassing at President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort who was apprehended with a thumb drive infected with malware is expected to receive a prison sentence on Monday. Yujing Zhang could face up to six years for unlawfully entering the Palm Beach, Florida, club in March and lying to Secret Service agents who confronted her. Authorities did not charge Zhang with espionage, but her arrest prompted an investigation into potential intelligence vulnerabilities at the resort Trump has called his "Winter White House." Zhang has been jailed since federal agents arrested her after finding two passports, four cellphones and a laptop on her person in addition to the infected thumb drive.

In this artist sketch, a Chinese woman, Yujing Zhang, left, listens to a hearing Monday, April 8, 2019, before federal Magistrate Judge William Matthewman in West Palm Beach, Fla. Secret Service agents arrested the 32-year-old woman March 30 after they say she gained admission by falsely telling a checkpoint she was a member and was going to swim.

You picked the right day to fly for Thanksgiving

If you've booked a flight today, you're in luck: Monday is the best day to fly during the Thanksgiving holiday period, according to the American Automobile Association and the Airlines for America trade organization. Monday is the lightest air travel day compared with others surrounding the holiday. It also has the lowest average ticket price ($486) other than Thanksgiving Day ($454). On the downside, the weather may not be as favorable: Flights could be disrupted because of high winds as well as snow and ice, according to AccuWeather.

Which celeb will win 'Dancing With the Stars'?

After last week's heartbreaking semifinals tearjerker, four finalists head into the finals for ABC's “Dancing With the Stars” on Monday: Country singer Lauren Alaina with pro partner Gleb Savchenko; actor/comedian Kel Mitchell and Witney Carson; pop star Ally Brooke and Sasha Farber; and "Bachelorette" Hannah Brown and Alan Bersten. Only one will take home the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy. The finale features all 12 contestants from the reality competition returning for a dance, but culminates with a big showdown, as viewers vote and judges hand their verdicts on two dances from each remaining couple. "The four finalists are pretty incredible performers," says judge Carrie Ann Inaba.

Lottery tickets go on sale for the first time in Mississippi

Mississippi residents don’t have to leave the state to buy lottery tickets any more, as tickets go on sale Monday in roughly 1,200 convenience stores and other sites. For decades Mississippi was one of only six states without a lottery, amid strong opposition from politically powerful churches. But the state’s lack of funds for road maintenance changed that and in 2018, lawmakers authorized a lottery as the state was forced to close hundreds of unsafe bridges. The first $80 million a year from lottery revenue will go to highways, then the rest to education. Democratic state Rep. Alyce Clarke of Jackson, who advocated for a lottery for years, will buy the ceremonial first ticket Monday morning at a convenience store in south Jackson.

'Frozen 2' breaking records on opening weekend

Opening weekend box office numbers for "Frozen 2" are expected to release Monday after a booming start. The Disney film already hauled in an estimated $127 million domestically and $350 million worldwide, according to studio estimates Sunday. It's the highest-grossing weekend ever for any animated film globally. It marks a new high in North America for an animated movie released outside of the summer season. And it's the largest opening for any Walt Disney Animation Studios release. Reviews and audience reaction have been good, but not as strong as they were for the original.
