Chip and Joanna Gaines Apparently Want to Open a Spa and It's the Best Idea Ever
Chip and Joanna Gaines are busy working on their new hotel.
Apparently, Joanna wants to incorporate a spa into the new business.
Chip and Joanna Gaines have already made Waco, a small town in Texas, into a major tourist destination. Their Magnolia Market at the Silos put the city on the map, but they’ve since added a restaurant, a coffee shop, several rental homes, and are now building a hotel. But that’s not enough for the parents of five.
The former Fixer Upper stars spoke to KCENTV about their lifestyle empire (which is about to include an entire TV network, by the way). Joanna let it slip that she’s had her eye on another business venture for a while: A spa.
Yep, Joanna wants to create a spot for you to be pampered, and honestly we are so on board. According to Chip, “All we’ve got to do is figure out where we’re going to put this spa one of these days.”

Considering they own a ton of real estate in Waco, including a castle, we don’t think that seems like too tall an order. But as it turns out, Joanna has already been thinking seriously about incorporating it into their forthcoming hotel.
“I mean there will be some type of spa, I’m pushing for that,” she said. “We’ll see what happens, but I would love that to be a part of it for sure.”
Joanna’s home designs are already so relaxing, can you imagine if she decorated a full-on retreat? We highly suggest she serves some Magnolia Table menu items, or some desserts from her new cookbook when it’s off the ground, too. Hey, it’s all about relaxing!
