Chipotle opens in Brooklawn; South Jersey spread continues

BROOKLAWN - Chipotle Mexican Grill has opened its first location here, continuing to grow the brand in South Jersey.

The restaurant’s location at 703 Browning Lane features the brand’s signature Chipotlane, a drive-thru pickup lane where customers can pick up digital orders without leaving their cars

Chipotle restaurants have opened recently in Burlington Township and Gloucester Township, with others planned for multiple South Jersey towns.

A Chipotle spokesperson described Brooklawn, a small borough with access to several major highways, as "a great fit."

“We’re pleased with the response to our existing locations in South Jersey, and hope the community enjoys our new Brooklawn restaurant," the spokesperson said.

“We are exploring opening additional locations in the area over the next two years.”

Chipotle opened 62 restaurants in the third quarter ended Sept. 30, when it had revenue of $2.5 billion and net income of $313.2 million.

It expects to add from 285 to 315 stores in 2024.

The California-based firm ended the quarter with more than 3,300 restaurants in the U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, France and Germany.

About 550 of its restaurants include Chipotlanes.

The store, which opened Dec. 5, will operate daily from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.
