SARTELL — A new Chipotle and Starbucks are coming to Sartell in the River Crossings development, according to Sartell Engagement Director Nikki Sweeter. A timeline for development will come after a review process, she said.

The two franchises join a Mister Carwash, which was confirmed in January. The site is near the Mississippi River on the north side of Minnesota Highway 15 near the Walmart development.

Up to four more businesses may build on the site, but those decisions are up to the developer, Sweeter said.

Several neighbors living on River Oaks Lane, including a couple who has lived in the neighborhood for more than 47 years, refused to sell their land to the developers and were outspoken about their opposition to the car wash.

There are currently six car washes in Sartell, and the new Mister Carwash would see about 200-600 vehicles a day, and sometimes more than 600 a day in peak winter months.
