New chiropractic office opens in Bucyrus
Chan Haldeman is carrying on the vision that her husband had for a new chiropractic care office in Bucyrus.
The mom of one daughter, Lainey, lost her husband, Gary, suddenly in January and is working hard to make their dream happen.
“Gary absolutely loved Bucyrus. I want to honor him by continuing to move forward with my Bucyrus practice,” said Chan, who is the owner of Pleasant Chiropractic in Marion and recently opened a Bucyrus location by the same name at 1050 S. Sandusky Ave.
Chan said her goal has been to create an inviting space for people to feel relaxed while they receive their chiropractic care.
“I have one room set up for a massage therapist which I will be hiring but otherwise, it is a one-woman operation. This is the reason Gary and I wanted to have a fabulous waiting area and equipment for the clients,” Chan said as Shannon Tate positioned himself on one of two adjustment tables for his treatment.
Tate said Chan came highly recommended by a co-worker at Whirlpool in Marion.
“She goes to Chan at her Marion location and when I found out she is here in town, I called right away for an appointment,” said Tate.
Chan had an office in Bucyrus at the original urgent care center more than a decade ago on East Mansfield Street in the building that now houses the OhioHealth Urgent Care Center.
“I got a job offer in Myrtle Beach, so we moved for a while but eventually moved back to Bucyrus. We love this town,” Chan said.
She said work began on the former beauty salon building last year but had to be halted due to zoning issues.
“We finally got the approval and are up and running,” Chan said as her young daughter organized the front desk area.
Chan said she takes most major insurance plans and is accepting new patients for chiropractic care at 419-689-3887.
“I am grateful to the people of Bucyrus who are so welcoming and look forward to serving the residents in this area while caring on the vision my late husband had for the office,” said Chan.
