Chocolate and books: Three York County libraries have sweet plans for February
Calling all chocolate and book lovers: three York County libraries have some sweet plans for February.
Dover Area Community Library, Kreutz Creek Library and Red Land Community Library are hosting a series of free chocolate-themed events, according to a news release. Headlining the series is bestselling author Jan Moran, who will be talking about her book “The Chocolatier” live via Zoom at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 15.
Moran is an 8-time USA Today and 2-time Wall Street Journal bestselling author and an avid traveler who infuses her stories with authentic locales and the things she loves: chocolate, wine, food, history, fashion and more. Currently, she is working on the next books in her series and expanding her catalog of books and screenplays for film and television projects.
Additionally, Moran’s novel, “The Chocolatier,” will be the focus of three book discussions. The calendar of events is listed below. Those interested in participating in the author visit or book discussions should register online using the events calendar at yorklibraries.org/events.
For more fun, join the Red Land Community Library for a Death by Chocolate Murder Mystery at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3 where everyone is a suspect and murder is on the menu. Attendees should bring their own dinners and beverages to enjoy while working together to solve the mystery. Call the library at 717-938-5599 to reserve a spot.
