Chocolate chip bliss: Here’s when Columbia’s newest cookie shop will open its doors

The time to Crumbl is here, Columbia.

The newest Midlands location of Crumbl Cookies is set to open in Columbia’s Harbison retail district. The new shop, located at 150-C Harbison Blvd. in the shopping center that also includes Target, Publix, Old Navy and other stores, will have its grand opening Friday, Jan. 27.

Crumbl Cookies is known for a rotating variety of cookie flavors, including s’mores, key lime pie, peppermint bark, vanilla bean cupcake, peanut butter and jelly, and, of course, milk chocolate chip. The cookie lineup changes each week, with the company announcing its weekly “flavor drops” on social media on Sunday evenings.

The company started in Utah in 2017 and has exploded to more than 500 locations across more than 40 states. Its stores typically offer delivery, curbside pickup, catering and more.

This is the third Crumbl location in the Midlands. There is one on Sunset Boulevard in Lexington in the Target shopping center, and in December a new one opened at 4605 Forest Drive in Forest Acres’ Cardinal Crossing development.

”We have been in awe watching the brand develop into what it is today, and are excited to bring these delicious cookies to Columbia,” Harbison store owners Zach and Mikayla Hosman said in a release. “We have fallen in love with South Carolina during the two years we have lived here, and are grateful to be members of this community.”

Customers can order in-person only for the first five days at the Harbison Crumbl, with curbside pickup, delivery and catering beginning Feb. 1.
