Chop Shop is a cut above other cabs

Chop, chop! You’ll want to get your hands on a bottle of 2020 Chop Shop cabernet ASAP. This $14.99 bottle is a cut above many other cabernets in the same price range.

For starters, I liked how this wine went with a hunk of Adam’s Reserve cheddar and Prima Donna gouda cheeses. It was nce with a hand full of Castelvetrano olives and a slice of leftover pizza margherita from Vaccaro’s Trattoria. Something about the elderberry and black raspberry flavors had me smiling.

I shared a bottle of this luscious cab on two occasions. It really complimented my chicken burrito with chips and salsa from Wholly Frijoles on State Road in Cuyahoga Falls. I think the wine loves cilantro as much as I do.

This bottle will definitely be a crowd pleaser.

My food-friendly inquisitiveness lead me to purchase a second bottle. I then hopped in the old 1953 Buick and headed to downtown Cuyahoga Falls to peruse the Farmer’s Rail meat counter. What the heck, The Farmer’s Rail is where the Dave Matthews Band and DEGA Catering have been getting their meats whenever they are in town for a concert at Blossom Music Center. The meat is displayed behind the glass counter like fine jewelry.

I picked out a strip steak and a bone-in pork chop so I can eat like Dave and his crew. Add a dash of Montreal Steak Seasoning, grill, and then let the flavor of the meat talk to your taste buds. Perfect pairing with this cab.

The peace de resistance was how well this wine went with a $14.99 box of F-Bombs chocolates. They are rich, to-die-for chocolate truffles made in Mentor and sold at Heinen’s and Miles Market. They come in an assortment of flavors; however, the original F-Bomb is an unbelievably decadent pairing with a glass of Chop Shop. Bite into one, sip on the wine and listen to the angels sing.

Buy this wine at Krieger’s Market in Cuyahoga Falls, both Mustard Seed Market locations, River Merchant in Kent, Cornerstone Market in Munroe Falls, Beau’s Market & Deli in Copley, Lakemore Wine & Liquor, The Barrell Room in Canal Fulton, Home Buys in North Canton, and Fisher’s on Fulton.
