On the chopping block: Bed Bath & Beyond's Avenue East Cobb location to close

Jan. 7—Bed Bath & Beyond's location at the Avenue East Cobb will be among dozens of stores to close nationwide, the retailer has announced.

The home goods store is now on "everything must go" status and is expected to close by the end of February, USA Today reported this week.

The closing will leave a sizable hole in the 230,000-square-foot shopping center, which is currently undergoing a facelift from North American Properties, the developer behind Atlanta's Atlantic Station. Other major retailers at the center include Gap, Lululemon, Pottery Barn, Sephora, Williams-Sonoma and Ann Taylor.
