CHP Fresno advises these tips if headed toward Shaver Lake

FRESNO, Calif. (KGPE/KSEE) – Snow in Shaver Lake is looking very packed specifically on Saturdays and Sundays, according to CHP Fresno.

With snow only in the higher elevations, it is said to be more congested.

According to CHP the busiest times to visit are the weekend, as parking is limited, especially in the Sno-Parks.

​Winter driving on roads and highways in the snow-capped mountains of California can be an adventure or it can be frustrating, tiring, and sometimes even hazardous according to CHP.

CHP Fresno advises to plan accordingly, pay attention to signs, do not park in the roadway, and pack trash out.
