Chris Cuomo calls Taylor Swift ‘crazy sauce’ conspiracy theories a ‘mashup of madness’

NewsNation host Chris Cuomo dismissed a conspiracy theory spreading across the internet and conservative media centered on Taylor Swift, the NFL and President Biden.

On his show this week, Cuomo described as “crazy sauce” the unfounded theory being spread by some on the political right suggesting the NFL is rigging games to help the Kansas City Chiefs and raise the profile of Taylor Swift so she can endorse Biden this year.

“Look at this mashup of madness,” the host said. “I don’t know what they’re talking about. I don’t know what they’re playing at. It’s completely divorced from reality. No one with a working brain can believe this energy that they’re putting into this. She hasn’t even endorsed anybody. Who cares who she endorses.”

Swift has not endorsed a candidate for president in 2024, but in 2018, she backed Democrat Phil Bredesen in his Senate campaign for a Tennessee seat against Republican Marsha Blackburn, who was elected.

Biden’s campaign has reportedly listed a nod from Swift, who commands one of the largest followings in the world, as a “dream” endorsement.

Cuomo, a former CNN anchor, hosts a weeknight show in prime time on NewsNation, which like The Hill is owned by Nexstar Media Group.
