Defensive tackle Chris Jones will have an opportunity to set a Chiefs record on Thursday night.

Jones had a sack Sunday in the Chiefs’ 27-20 win over the Vikings, and it’s the fourth straight game in which he’s had a sack.

The Chiefs said Jones’ four straight games with at least one sack to start the season (he missed the opener) matches a franchise record held by the late Derrick Thomas.

Thomas, the Pro Football Hall of Famer, had at least one sack in each of his first four games of the 1996 season.

Justin Houston (2017), Eric Hicks (2000), Neil Smith (1991) and Mike Bell (1984) each had a sack in their first three games of a season.

Here are three other stats of note from Sunday’s game.

1. The century mark

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had 281 passing yards on Sunday. That marked the 100th consecutive game with 150 or more passing yards for the Chiefs, the team said, which ties the Detroit Lions (2010-17) for the second-longest streak in NFL history.

Here are the longest streaks of 150 or more passing yards per game in NFL history.

1. 124 Atlanta Falcons (2011-18)

T2. 100 Chiefs (2017-present)

T2. 100 Lions (2010-17)

4. 89 Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2017-23)

5. 79 New Orleans Saints (2013-18)

2. Kicking Butker I

Harrison Butker made a pair of field-goal attempts and three extra points Sunday, continuing his perfect season.

He has made all 10 field-goal attempts and each of his 14 extra-point tries.

Butker was one shy of the Chiefs’ record for most field goals without a miss in the first five games of a season in team history.

1. 11 Morten Andersen (2002)

2. 10 Harrison Butker (2023)

3. 7 Harrison Butker (2018)

T4. 6 Connor Barth (2008)

T4. 6 Nick Lowery (1980)

3. Kicking Butker II

Butker’s 11 points on Sunday give him 807 in his career in 95 games.

The Chiefs noted that is the third-most points for an NFL kicker through his first 100 games. Here is the top five in league history.

1. 850 Justin Tucker

2. 834 Stephen Gostkowski

3. 807 Harrison Butker

T4. 802 Mason Crosby

T4. 802 Wil Lutz
