Chris Pratt admits he dodged the gym over the holidays, too. Now he's here to inspire you
Even the man behind superhero Star-Lord struggles with motivation to work out.
"Guardians of the Galaxy" star Chris Pratt admitted to his 22 million Instagram followers Wednesday that he has not had the desire to hit the gym this holiday season. (Same, Pratt, same.)
"These last couple of months, I have just not been that motivated to work out. And I’ve been eating," the 39-year-old said on his Instagram story. "And I know it’s winter and it’s holiday season."
However, Pratt decided things would be different the day after Christmas: "This morning I woke up and I’ve determined that I’m going to get on it. And I don’t want to, but I’m going to do it, I’m going to start it today."

Pratt flat-out acknowledged that "it sucks to work out," but pointed out that "after you do it you feel great." He encouraged his fans to join him and exercise: "I'm asking you to do it with me and check in…Let’s do it and get through it, and we’ll feel good.”
Despite posting several videos in an effort to stall his pending workout, a sweaty Pratt returned post-exercise to continue his efforts to inspire people with similar hesitations. (As we all know, getting in shape is a common New Year's resolution.)
"Let’s motivate each other," he said. "Social media stuff can be so ugly and so nasty and it can make us hurt one another but I’m trying to motivate ya."

Not only did Pratt complete his workout, he inspired fans to do the same. User @Roomba_greyjoy credited the action star with inspiring his to return to running following a bout with personal issues.
"I kinda feel like having Chris Pratt lecturing us about skipping workout on his IG stories has made me have a will to go on a jog today (which has been a while, because insecurities, fam)," he wrote.
I kinda feel like having Chris Pratt lecturing us about skipping workout on his IG stories has made me have a will to go on a jog today (which has been a while, because insecurities, fam) so when I get out of work, running, here I come. Bless the man, he's a gift to this world.

User @Smilingshark88 playfully told Pratt that it's his fault she's at the gym.
Hey @prattprattpratt I’m at the gym and it’s your fault.

@WeeJudiee thanked Pratt for his "super motivational Instagram" because it made her realize, "ehh I have no excuse not to."
I’d like to thank @prattprattpratt for his super motivational Instagram because I went to the gym today and it sucked but now I feel awesome. And I wouldn’t have done that (as willingly) if I hadn’t watched that story and realised “ehh I have no excuse not to” 😅💪🏻❤️
