Los Huracanes del Norte will kick off the weekend and then lead into a busy week of other concerts, including Ha*Ash, reggaeton singer Rauw Alejandro and then some country music with Chris Stapleton.

There's also some anime fun and a grand opening of a new place, so take a look.

Huracanes del Norte

The group with 40 years at the top of the regional Mexican music market will have a performance at 8 p.m. Friday at the Plaza Theatre. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets, ranging from $49 to $99, plus fees, are available at Ticketmaster.com.

Retro Glow Studios grand opening

Saturday is the grand opening of the Retro Glow Studios/Jane & Jensen Nostalgia shop at 217 S. El Paso St. Join the fun from 3 to 9 p.m. There will be a Studio 54 theme with drinks and live music, a ribbon-cutting, selfie wall, vendor and networking opportunities and much more.

Anime event

MJ's Gaming at Bassett Place will have an anime event from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. There will be cosplay contests and giveaways.

Enjoy screening of 'A League of Their Own'

In anticipation of award-winning actress Geena Davis' upcoming visit to El Paso, the YWCA will have a special screening of "A League of Their Own." The popular film based on the real-life All-American Girls Professional Baseball League during World War II will be featured at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Alamo Drafthouse Montecillo on the West Side. Davis will be the keynote speaker of the 28th Annual Women's Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. April 27 at the El Paso convention center. Tickets for the movie screening are $20, available at Eventbrite.com. Ha*Ash returning to El Paso

The Mexican group promoting its latest album, Haashtag, will bring its Mi Salida Contigo Tour to El Paso with a performance at 8 p.m. April 22 at the Abraham Chavez Theatre. Tickets, ranging from $39 to $179, plus fees, available at Ticketmaster.com.

Rauw Alejandro

Puerto Rican reggaeton singer Rauw Alejandro will bring his "Saturno World Tour 2023" to El Paso with a performance at 8 p.m. April 22 at the Don Haskins Center. Tickets, ranging from $43 to $203, plus fees, are available at Ticketmaster.com.

Annual flower show

El Dedon Verde Garden Club will have its annual flower show April 25 at El Paso Country Club. This year's theme is "Flower Power" with some cool, 1970s vibes in the categories. Viewing of entries is from 2 to 4 p.m. Awards ceremony is at 3:30 p.m. Free admission for members, $10 for the general public.

Grammy Award winner and country singer Chris Stapleton will bring his "All American Road Show" to UTEP's Don Haskins Center, performing at 7 p.m. April 26. Tickets, ranging from $139 to $488, plus fees, are on sale at Ticketmaster.com.
