Chrishell Stause Just Sparked Dating Rumors With Her 'Selling Sunset' Costar

It’s heartbreaking to watch Netflix’s Selling Sunset season three. While it's the show’s juiciest season yet, one of the season’s biggest plotlines is the divorce of cast member Chrishell Stause from her husband, Justin Hartley (you may know him from the NBC show This Is Us.) In real life, Justin filed for divorce from Chrishell in November 2019, citing “irreconcilable differences,” after getting married in October 2017.
And in the show, Chrishell details how she was blindsided after Justin filed for divorce, pointing out that he let her know that he had filed via text. Season three follows Chrishell as she starts fresh without Justin and tries to come to terms with what exactly happened to her.
Since then, Justin has moved on and is now married to his former co-star Sofia Pernas, according to People. As for Chrishell, it appears that she may have a new love interest, too. She and Selling Sunset star Jason Oppenheim (one half of the dynamic real estate duo featured in the show) appear very cuddly in her recent Instagram post. Their status is still tbd.
Here’s what’s happening in Chrishell’s love life right now, and what’s been going on until this point.
So, who is Chrishell dating now?
With this latest update, it looks like Chrishell might be dating again. In a new Instagram post, she seems awfully close with Jason Oppenheim of The Oppenheim Group from Selling Sunset.
The post includes a series of group photos on the coast of Italy. But, tucked at the end of the carousel are two of Chrishell and Jason looking pretty cozy together on a boat. "The JLo effect. 🤷🏻♀️," Chrishell captioned the photos. In one, she kisses the top of his head. And in the the other snap, he nuzzles in close to her neck.
In the comments, Jason left a "♥️," while his twin brother, Brett, wrote: "Love you Chrishell. Thank you for making my brother happy."
Fellow Selling Sunset realtor Mary Fitzgerald added, "nothing makes me more excited than to see two of my closest friends together and making each other so happy! 😍❤️." And, her husband Romain Bonnet wrote: "So happy for you guys ! Finally people will stop with Jason and Mary hopefully 😋🙏🏼😘"
Tbd on any official announcements. Fans on Instagram seem to think that these two are together. "You and Jason? Sooooo here for it!!! 😍😍😍," one fan commented.
Previously, Chrishell and DWTS pro Keo Motsepe dated for three months.
Dancing With the Stars pro Keo caught Chrishell’s attention last year. They started sharing cuddly photos together in Dec. 2020 and went public with their relationship soon after. Chrishell called their romance the "coolest thing," per People. "I knew from my dance work I wasn't going to win a Mirrorball from the beginning. To have this come from it, I'm just very smitten," she said.
They vacationed as a couple in December and celebrated their first Valentine's Day less than a month before the breakup.
Neither Chrishell nor Keo have spoken publicly about the breakup. "He's had a tough time with his mom's passing, but he really wanted to make his relationship with Chrishell last," the source close to Keo told People.
Before connecting with Keo, Chrishell said she was taking "baby steps" into dating again.
In Sept. 2020, Chrishell told Entertainment Tonight that she was taking "baby steps" with dating. She also noted that she’s had a few people slide into her DMs lately.
"I feel so weird," Chrishell said of getting personal messages on social. "But yes, that has been a nice surprise. There's a few [people you might know], but I'm not going to tell you who."
"I'm completely single and because of COVID, I haven't done much mingling," she explained. But, Chrishell added, "I'm excited to mingle." She hasn’t been giving DMers the cold shoulder, though. Chrishell said she’s responded to a few people "in a polite way," but hasn’t "taken the next step" in going on an actual date.
That’s pretty similar to what she said back in May. During an interview with Access, Chrishell said, "Instagram DMs seem to be a popular thing that I didn't know about...it' s a fun fact that I'm learning now," she said.
However, Chrishell hasn’t confirmed if she is dating anyone, and hinted that she is single during a Q&A series of fan questions when Selling Sunset season three premiered.
She shared a hilarious video to explain how dating is going RN. Chrishell included a clip from that open house when she wandered around waiting for potential buyers to show up with the Jeopardy theme song in the background.
And, Chrishell is preparing to start a family—eventually.
She's freezing her eggs and keeping motherhood in mind for the future. "I have taken the steps to freeze my eggs," Chrishell told People in Sept. 2020. "I’m going to do everything I can to take that power in the situation, and hopefully, that will empower me going forward in the dating world, so there’s not so much pressure."
Chrishell shared hints about moving on in 2020.
Chrishell joked about possible love connections back in July 2020. During an interview with RealiTea With Derek Z, Chrishell said that her dream celebrity date would be with Brad Pitt. "Brad Pitt! And we know he’s single, so there you go. It’s so cliché, but it’s a cliché for a reason."
