Chrissy Teigen and John Legend Buy West Hollywood Home With Floating Gardens

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are making some significant real estate investments this year. Less than one month after news broke that the power couple had purchased a $7.7 million triplex in the same Manhattan building where they already own another penthouse, it appears they have purchased a brand-new contemporary-style home in West Hollywood for $5.1 million.

According to Variety, their new residence is situated a short distance away from their current home, and features four bedrooms and four bathrooms spread across 3,440 square feet of living space. The newly constructed house boasts a sleek exterior of glass and wood, and its listing refers to the aesthetic as “organic modern.” The main living space has an open floor plan, and the kitchen is a clear focal point, with an extra-long marble-topped island and European-inspired cabinetry. Glass sliders tuck into the wall and further extend the space out onto a covered patio area perfect for outdoor dining.

A set of floating wooden stairs lead up to the second floor, where the master suite is an oasis with a neutral color palette, clean lines, and its own private balcony. A custom-fitted all-wood walk-in closet is easily spacious enough even for the Chrissy’s Court host’s and the EGOT winner’s extensive wardrobes. The master bathroom offers up dual vanities and luxurious, veined marble countertops.

One of the highlights of the home is its “floating” gardens, situated on the second floor and outfitted with a built-in drip system for irrigation. Out back, in addition to the aforementioned covered patio, there is also an outdoor fireplace, a modest-size plunge pool and spa, and a patch of lawn. Despite their new purchases and their Beverly Hills home (which they paid $14.1 million for in 2016), the couple are quarantined with their two young children, Luna and Miles, in a home they’re renting in Malibu.
