Model Chrissy Teigen and Grammy Award-winning singer John Legend have reportedly sold their Beverly Hills home for $16.8 million. Though that may sound like a big chunk of change, it's actually a significant discount from the original listing price of $23.95 million. Luckily, when they bought the home in 2017, they only paid $14 million—so they're still coming out with a $2.8 million profit.
The gated Beverly Hills property boasts seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms. Some additional features of the home include a parlor room with 33-foot ceilings, a sloping staircase, and a "glam room" designed to look like a Chanel showroom. The living room pays homage to Teigen’s Thai heritage as it features handmade teak designs made in Thailand. Extra amenities in the home include a primary bedroom with a built-in fireplace, a chef’s kitchen, a backyard with a saltwater pool and jacuzzi, and a pergola.
Surprisingly, the lush 8,500 square foot home is also quite sustainable, as it is partially solar-powered. The couple began buying up new real estate in March of last year when they paid $7.7 million for a penthouse apart in Manhattan. Then, they bought up a 3,400 square foot home in West Hollywood for $8 million. Their latest purchase was a sprawling Beverly Hills mansion in the neighborhood of Benedict Canyon, for which they dropped $17.5 million.
