Chrissy Teigen responded to negative comments she received over the weekend after she tweeted about beginning horseback riding as a hobby at the advice of her therapist.

The Cravings author said that she felt many people "misinterpreted" her initial tweet in which she said she currently has "absolutely nothing" that she just does for herself. She replied to a tweet in which someone said, in part, "A lot of people are unemployed and struggling to feed their family in the midst of a pandemic. Maybe now isn't a great time to say you 'have nothing' so you bought a horse to entertain yourself."

Chrissy responded to that tweet by explaining that she wasn't trying to imply that she "has nothing" but meant that she had no hobbies and that her therapist encouraged her to find one following the loss of her pregnancy with son Jack.

"I didn't say I have nothing, I said I have nothing I do for just me. A convo with a therapist. A hobby. Cause I lost a baby. And I'm figuring myself out," she wrote. Chrissy went on to explain that she "didn’t buy a horse. But oh my god, what if I did?"

She continued to question why people were still fixated on the photo of the horse and her caption so much, responding to another critic by asking "What do you want from me, an essay about me, thinking about you? It’s my Twitter. I’m talking about me?"

At the same time, Chrissy also received a lot of positive comments from fellow horseback riders, including those who have participated in equine therapy. Chrissy commiserated with fellow riders on Twitter over the pain of breaking in riding boots.
