Chrissy Teigen has given fans an insight into Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's split, saying that she thought they had "a forever relationship" and that Kim "gave her all" to making the marriage work.

In January of this year reports emerged that Kim and Kanye were splitting after six years of marriage, then in February she officially filed for divorce with him following suit in early April. Since then, other than comments from Kris and Caitlyn Jenner about the split, most of the details have been kept under-wraps, however family friend Chrissy Teigen gave fans some insight into the relationship during a recent interview.

"I will say I have definitely been in touch with Kim more than John [Legend] has been in touch with Kanye," Teigen said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. "If anyone knows Kanye, it's that he goes off the grid. It's hard to ever contact Kanye, but Kim is doing okay.

"I know Kim gave her all, gave her everything and it's honestly a shame that it didn't work out, because I saw them being a forever relationship, I really did," she continued. "But I know she tried her best."

Over the weekend a source spoke to Entertainment Tonight about how Kim has been coping, saying she "has been doing her best to surround herself with her family and good friends, be social, go out and, of course, take care of her children."

They continued, "She is focused on making sure her kids are taken care of and protected. But she is definitely still getting used to her new norm."
