Christie's Is Partnering with Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons for a Special Charity Auction

This week, Christie's and The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons announced they are partnering to host a virtual charity auction hosted by Charitybuzz to raise funds for the animals at East Hampton's ARF Adoption Center now through March 11. The virtual auction has been curated by long-time ARF board member and renowned designer, Alex Papachristidis, and features more than 120 unique items from of the country's most adored designers, artists, dealers, among other creatives.

“In lieu of a Designer Show we came up with the concept of an online auction drawn from ARF’s extended family of friends and supporters and bringing beautiful and unique pieces of custom furniture, art and antiques together for a single sale," says Papachristidis. "ARF is an incredible charity, rescuing and nurturing the lives of animals from all over the country and parts of the world.”

Animal lovers and design enthusiasts from across the globe will be able to virtually bid on the auction's incredible roster of items on Charitybuzz, from a Billy Baldwin contemporary slipper chair donated by Mark D. Sikes to a Dodie Thayor Lettuce ware tea set donated by Tory Burch. Other noteworthy items up for auction include a custom-made Alexa Hampton two-tiered black and gold ash contemporary coffee table, a contemporary hand-blown green glass vase made in the Venini workshop by Peter Marino, and an Alex Papachristidis-designed Cole Porter bookcase and bar with black laminate shelves and brass frame.
