Christina Aguilera Is Launching Super-Affordable Hair Tools

For a while, it seemed like every celebrity and their mother was becoming the spokesperson for a makeup brand or even launching their own makeup line. But lately, signs point to more and more celebrities lending their images and names to hair brands, with an especially strong interest in tools. Kendall Jenner, for example, is the new face of a Formawell's Runway Series, offering styling tools from $15 to $119. And now, Christina Aguilera is teaming up with German retailer Lidl for an even more affordable collection of irons, brushes, and more.

Quite possibly the perfect person to get into the hair-tool game considering how often she's changed up her style over the years, Christina Aguilera has put her name on about a dozen implements being sold exclusively through Lidl. And when I say she's put her name on them, I mean that quite literally — it's printed in script on all of the black and rose-gold gadgets in the collection.

Because Lidl is a German brand and has thus far put the products up on just its German and French websites, we can’t be sure of exactly what the English product names would be. However, thanks to Google Translate and my eyes, I’m confident reporting that there’s a rotating hot-air brush, a thermal round-brush styler, a heated straightening brush, several traditional hairbrushes (including paddle and round styles), an ionic hair dryer, a wave iron, a straightening iron with LED display, a mini straightening iron, a multifunction styler with seven attachments (including a straightener and several sizes of curling irons) and a Lockenstab, which sounds terrifying but is actually just a curling iron.

The prices are listed in Euros, so my best guess is that the range runs from about $3 (for a regular brush) to $23 (for some of the more advanced devices) — pretty amazing price points for hair tools. Luckily, we'll know soon what the official English names and U.S. prices will be, as hollywood.com reports that the collection is launching in the U.S. on December 11. It's not yet known if they will be available on lidl.com or in the approximately 50 Lidl stores in the U.S., most of which are in the mid-Atlantic.

We'll post an update as soon as more specific details are available. Until then, you can browse the products in German.
