Christina Hendricks and Ex Geoffrey Arend List Manhattan Apartment for $1.25 Million

Mad Men alums Christina Hendricks and her soon-to-be ex-husband Geoffrey Arend are looking to sell the home they once shared. According to reports, the pair recently listed a Midtown Manhattan apartment for $1.25 million, slightly more than the $1.155 million they bought it for back in early 2015. The home spans a cozy 797 square feet and features one bedroom and one bathroom, with much of the prewar condo renovated to upscale modern standards.

Original finishings include five metal-trimmed casement windows, as well as traditional moldings and doorways that have since been painted a sleek gunmetal gray. The condo opens onto a considerably sized front foyer with two sizable coat closets and a full bathroom located just off to one side. The combination living and dining room area is accessible through an open doorway on the other side of the foyer, and features refinished oak floors, as well as two custom-crafted cabinet built-ins on either side of a wood-burning fireplace that anchors the space. Elegant crystal sconces help provide warm lighting to the room, and two windows at one end of the 23-foot common living space provide generous natural light.

The adjacent kitchen is magnificently retro, with a black-and-white checkered marble floor, dark wood cabinets, marble countertops, and a quirky designer stove. An extra prep and service counter extends from the kitchen area into the living space, providing a unique design feature that connects the two rooms.

The bedroom, located just off the front foyer, is spacious enough for a king-size bed and has two windows overlooking a shared, landscaped courtyard. A walk-in closet and an entire wall of built-ins offer up plenty of storage space. The sole bathroom of the condo is stylishly outfitted with white subway tiles, an antique dresser converted into a vanity and sink, and a brass-framed mirror. A walk-in closet in the main living area has been converted into a cozy home office space.

Other features of the home include the aforementioned courtyard, two planted rooftop decks, a shared private dining room, a library, a card room, and a billiard lounge. There’s even a banquet hall with a catering kitchen, ideal for hosting elaborate dinner parties.

In addition to their recently listed Manhattan home, Hendricks and Arend also co-own a four-bedroom, three-bathroom Colonial-style home located in L.A’s Silver Lake neighborhood. They bought the home together in 2011 for $1.7 million.
