Christmas event at Strevell House includes book signing

Dale Maley will have a book signing or his new book, "Abraham Lincoln and the Strevell Family of Pontiac Illinois”, on Dec. 8.

On Thursday, Dec. 8, the Livingston County Historical Society will host a book signing at its annual Christmas Reception. The Christmas Reception and book signing will be hosted at the recently restored historical Jason W. Strevell house. The guest of honor will be author Dale C. Maley.

Maley has just completed the book, "Abraham Lincoln and the Strevell Family of Pontiac Illinois”. Maley, who lives in Fairbury, is also the president of the Livingston County Historical Society.

The public is invited to join in celebrating the holiday season with this reception and book-signing event. The Strevell house is located at 401 W. Livingston St. in Pontiac. The open house will take place that evening between 6 and 8 p.m. Desserts and refreshments will be served and a slide show highlighting the restoration of the house will be shown.
