Christmas outside the kitchen: Spartanburg restaurants offering holiday meal help
With Christmas only a few weeks away, many have spent so much time shopping that they have little energy for cooking a holiday feast.
If you are one of those who needs some holiday help, there are some Spartanburg restaurants that have you covered.
With a variety of traditional and unconventional main dishes, sides, and desserts for sale, there is something for almost every celebration.

Wade's Restaurant
Location: 1000 N. Pine St. Suite 33 in Spartanburg

Wade's Restaurant offers frozen sides and desserts to make things easier in the kitchen all year. Sides and desserts are available while supplies last — there is no pre-order option. Frozen sides include pints of macaroni and cheese, cornbread dressing, broccoli casserole, sweet potato soufflé, hashbrown casserole, creamed corn, turkey gravy, and a variety of pies including their famous peanut butter pie and pecan pie are available now. Perishable items like cold green beans, potato salad and sweet tea will be available starting Dec. 22.
They also offer turkeys and hams for Christmas. These pre-packaged, refrigerated main courses will be available in the to-go section starting Tuesday, Dec. 14. The full menu is available on the restaurant's website, www.eatatwades.com.
Downtown Deli and Donuts

Downtown Deli and Donuts is doing a holiday side and dessert pre-order featuring roasted sweet potatoes & butternut squash, macaroni and cheese, Southern green beans and brown sugar poundcake among other delicacies. Their casseroles, sides and desserts are sold fully-cooked, unfrozen, and ready to heat. Most sides average around $24 for a 9-inch by-13 pan and desserts range around $20-$50. Pre-order for sides and desserts ends Thursday, Dec. 16. Orders are available for pickup on Dec. 23 between 10 a.m. -2 p.m.
Little Jennie's Baked Goods

Little Jennie's has a sweet treat for your holiday parties. The Zitz sisters are baking up some of their grandmother's specialty Christmas tree cakes, available pre-decorated ($45) or in DIY form ($35) with a pre-baked cake that you can ice and decorate yourself. Christmas tree cake kits are limited.
Caramel pecan and cranberry cheesecakes ($38) are also available as well as a variety of pastries and cookies by the dozen or half dozen. The full menu is available on the bakery's Instagram page.
Orders can be picked up at Mama Sue's Homemade Help on Dec. 23 or at Citizens and Southern Event Center on Dec. 24 from 10-11 a.m.
Blue Moon Specialty Foods

Blue Moon Specialty Foods will be offering Christmas pre-orders again this year. For Christmas, spiral ham, twice baked potatoes, Christmas silk pie, eggnog pound cake, sausage balls and charcuterie boards, as well as breakfast dishes like cranberry orange biscuits and cinnamon rolls, will be among the offerings. Pre-orders end Wednesday, Dec. 15. Orders will be available for pick-up Dec. 23 from 2-6 p.m. and Dec. 24 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
CityRange Steakhouse Grill

CityRange Steakhouse Grill is offering Christmas Eve family takeaway meals. Meals for four people start at $85 and include a choice of prime rib, ham or pork roast with two sides and the restaurant's garlic Romano table bread. Pre-orders end Dec. 21. Orders will be available for scheduled pick-up Dec. 23 or 24.
Bearded Bros. BBQ

Bearded Bros. BBQ will be providing Christmas feasts for families seeking both traditional fare and more out-of-the-box eats. The Union Street barbecue hot spot is offering family meals of smoked turkey or ham with four sides for $150, whole brisket with four sides for $225, or prime rib with four sides for $215. Mains are available a la carte for between $65-$200, depending on the customer's choice. Sides, including cornbread, mashed potatoes, green beans, baked beans, sweet potato casserole and mac and cheese, are available for $25 a pan.
Orders will be available for pick-up Dec. 23 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Little Pigs BBQ
Location: 840 S. Pine St. in Spartanburg

Little Pigs BBQ is offering meats by the pound, traditional holiday sides, homemade cakes and more during the Christmas meal pre-order. Customers can order main dishes including smoked turkey starting at $35, spiral smoked ham for $9.99 a pound, chopped chicken and pork or brisket by the pound or half-pound. Sides are available a la carte averaging between $4-$20 and include dressing, sweet potato crunch, green beans, potato salad, lima beans by the pint, quart or gallon and a variety of homemade soups and stews like corn chowder and Brunswick stew.
The restaurant is also offering a selection of homemade pies for $12 or $14 and homemade cakes for $35. The full menu is available on the restaurant's Facebook page.

Oh 7 Bar & Restaurant

Oh 7 B&R is cooking up a variety of holiday trimmings so you don't have to. The Hillcrest soul food restaurant is offering broccoli casserole, mac & cheese, dressing, and potato salad by the pan for $55 or half pan for $35, as well as their popular dump cakes and gallons of tea and lemonade. Oh 7 is also selling main courses — sliced turkey or ham by the pan for $55 or half pan for $45 and deep fried turkey for $35.
Pre-order ends on Sunday, Dec.19, and orders may be picked up Dec. 24 between 12-2 p.m.
