South Shore breweries raise a holiday toast with these 15 events

The South Shore's buzzing breweries have events and special nights throughout the year, from trivia nights and live music to knitting and painting parties.

The layout of many breweries allows for activities and events most bars could not accommodate, and that's something places from Barrel House Z in Weymouth to Mayflower Brewing in Plymouth take full advantage of year-round, and especially around the holidays.

Christmas markets within the breweries allow patrons to find something for everyone while supporting local businesses and vendors, and ornament-making and cookie-decorating events allow people to put their personal touch on the season. There is even a bong-decorating night that will pair well with the cookie class for the cannabis connoisseurs in one's life.

Here are some of the special events happening at a brewery/taproom near you.
