HBO Max has debuted the first teaser video for its upcoming release "A Christmas Story Christmas," the latest sequel to the beloved 1983 film set in a fictionalized Hammond, Indiana.

The 41-second video shared Monday afternoon shows the rooms of the Parker family home on Cleveland Street and ends with a shot of a grown-up Ralphie, played once more by Peter Billingsley (who is also producing the film alongside creative partner Vince Vaughn).

"A Christmas Story Christmas" will release through the streaming service Nov. 17.

The film takes place in the 1970s, decades after the original, following the death of Ralphie's father. The plot synopsis explains Ralphie is seeking to give his own children a magical Christmas in his northern Indiana hometown.

Several other original cast members join Billingsley, including Zack Ward (Scut Farkas), R.D. Robb (Schwartz) and Scott Schwartz (Flick). Clay Kaytis ("The Christmas Chronicles") directed the sequel.

In the nearly 40 years since its release, "A Christmas Story" has seen a variety of sequels, TV adaptations and a Broadway musical adaptation.
