It's all about Christmas: Things to do in December in Franklin County

Heritage Christmas

Fridays, Dec. 1 and 8

Downtown Greencastle

Experience a small-town Christmas in Greencastle's Center Square. Each evening will feature organizations and community groups selling food and host activities, live performances, and activities for kids and families. Kids can get photos with Santa and even mail their letters to the real Santa Claus at the North Pole.

Horse and wagon rides will also be available, but seating is very limited. Online reservations are sold out, but tickets are set aside to be sold at the Holiday House (northwest corner of the square) starting at 5:30 p.m. each day. There will be seats for eight people for departure times of 5:45, 6:15, 6:45, 7:15, 7:45 and 8:15.

Kids always look forward to Uncle Bean and his balloon creations during Heritage Christmas in Greencastle. This year, they’ll find him at Friday Nights in the Square on Dec. 1 and 8.
