Christopher Columbus Charities of Alliance awarded four $1,000 scholarships for the 2022-23 school year.

Jerry Sacco Scholarship – Kaitlyn Bondoni. The Alliance High graduate ranked 19th in the Class of 2023, with a 4.05 grade-point average. The daughter of Stephanie Smith and the late Mike Bondoni plans to attend University of Mount Union to study mechanical engineering.

Art Sacco Scholarship − Carter Bugara. The Alliance High graduate ranked 36th in the Class of 2023, with a 3.75 GPA. The son of Kris Bugara and Jenifer Bugara plans to attend Walsh University to study to become a commercial aviation pilot.

Other winners:

Makenna Lins, daughter of Michael Lins and Melissa Lins, ranked 59th in West Branch High School’s Class of 2023, with a 3.5 GPA. She plans to attend Ohio University to study psychology.

Neleh Wagner, daughter of Troy Wagner and Nicola Wagner, ranked 72nd in Alliance High School’s School’s Class of 2023, with a 3.3 GPA. She plans to attend University of Akron to study political science.
