Christopher Jackson Fundraises For Segerstrom In Live Event

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — On the heels of the original Broadway cast release of "Hamilton" over Disney+, one of the prominent cast members is now working to benefit non-profit arts organizations during the coronavirus shutdown.

Christopher Jackson, who appeared as George Washington in "Hamilton," will star in a benefit concert through non-profit arts organizations. In Orange County, his show "Christopher Jackson: Live from the West Side" will air to benefit Segerstrom Center for the Arts.

Jackson, a Tony Award-nominated actor, Grammy, and Emmy Award-winning songwriter/composer, will perform from New York's New World Stages. Tickets to the event are $40 per household, according to Segerstrom Center for the Arts.

The event will include original songs, show tunes, pop hits, and personal stories from Jackson's experiences on the sets of "In the Heights" and Hamilton," and "Freestyle Love Supreme." Following the concert, viewers will be able to engage in a chat Q & A.

When you purchase, ticket-holders will receive a password and answer questions on how to view the event.

Logins are not to be shared, as this is a benefit event. Plus, if multiple people use the same login, "it may result in you being excluded from the event," a Segerstrom spokesperson says.

According to a press release, the video will be available for viewing up to 72 hours after the event.
Jackson's show is a virtual event that will take place on Saturday, Aug. 15, at 5 p.m.
