Christopher Lloyd becomes the latest perfect Big Bang Theory guest-star, Here are the 5 best

‘Back To The Future’ luminary Christopher Lloyd recently became the latest ‘Big Bang Theory’ guest-star in the most recent episode of the ever-green sitcom to air in America.

Lloyd completely slayed it in his secretive role, which was kept from public knowledge for a very good reason. But, by now, we’ve become used to seeing superlative guest-star roles on ‘The Big Bang Theory’.

In fact, Christopher Lloyd’s appearance immediately made me jog down memory lane to recall my favourite people to have popped up on ‘The Big Bang Theory’. And here’s who I decided upon …

Carrie Fisher/James Earl Jones

There’s just too much to love about Carrie Fisher threatening to pummel both Sheldon and James Earl Jones with a baseball bat after they played knock-a-door run on her abode for it not to be remembered. Especially since this was the first time that the ‘Star Wars’ icons Jones, who voiced Darth Vader, and Fisher had actually met face to face. While Fisher only appears in the last scene of The Convention Conundrum, Jones deserves credit for being in the entire episode, which he spends goofing with Sheldon around Los Angeles on a ferris wheel, in a sauna, and at karaoke, as well as outside Fisher’s house, after Sheldon didn’t get into Comic-Con. It’s joyous.

Katee Sackhoff

Quite an important one this. When Howard was having second thoughts about settling down with Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) ‘Battlestar Galactica’s’ Katee Sackhoff appeared as a figment of his imagination, in a bath no less, in The Vengeance Formulation to tell him that he needed to stop thinking of himself as a lothario, and instead make a real go of it with the diminutive blonde bombshell. Thankfully he listened.

George Takei

What’s better than Howard fantasising about Kattee Sackhoff? Howard fantasising about Kattee Sackhoff and ‘Star Trek’ legend George Takei, with his girlfriend, now wife, Bernadette thrown in for good measure, too. That happened in The Hot Troll Deviation, and despite the scenario Takei still managed to drop some sage advice for Wolowitz.

Stan Lee

Stan Lee never misses the chance to make a cameo. Just look at every single Marvel film that has even been released. So when ‘The Big Bang Theory’ came a calling with a role in The Excelsior Acquistion he was of course going to accept, and his subsequent performance saw him don a ‘Fantastic Four’ dressing gown, and then get the obligatory restraining order against Sheldon as he then repeatedly visited his home.

Stephen Hawking

The world’s most famous scientist has made a habit of making guest-starring roles on television shows, having done so on ‘The Simpsons’, ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’, ‘Futurama’ and ‘The Big Bang Theory’ back in 2012’s aptly titled The Hawking Excitation. This saw Howard having to take care of Hawking’s wheelchair during a guest lecture, and of course Sheldon made sure that Howard slipped one of his papers to the great man. And even though he was impressed, Hawking admitted that he had to correct an error, which ruined the entire paper and left Sheldon mortified. Which is always a delight to see.
