Chrysler Museum to be transformed into battle between good and evil for ‘Art Out Loud’

Who doesn’t like a good hero? And, as a matter of fact, who doesn’t love an even more evil villain?

The Chrysler Museum of Art will be transformed Friday into a battleground between good and evil for its next installment of “Art Out Loud.”

Attendees are encouraged to dress as their most beloved hero or villain as they listen to music, grab a drink and explore the museum and learn about how themes of power, morality and adventure influence art.

There will be performances by Push Comedy Theater, and Stage Select will provide a live soundtrack to the night. The theme of the band’s set list will be video game music.

Museum staff will show off their “superpowers” of how to care for and preserve art against a conservator’s worst enemies: time, pests and unforeseen environmental factors. Patrons can complete “Art Madness” brackets to select the ultimate heroes and villains of popular culture.

Patrons must be at least 21.

Tickets include light hors d’oeuvres and one drink ticket.
