Oct. 1—SACRED HEART — A book sale of more than 500 new or gently used books to raise money for the Vestre Sogn Chapel continues from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, at Hawk Creek Lutheran Church, rural Sacred Heart. The book sale began Friday.

PENNOCK — The autumn bazaar will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Pennock. Bake sale, jam and jellies, crafts, grandma's attic, bar bar and lunch.

SPICER — The Fall Harvest Festival will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Hope Presbyterian Church, rural Spicer. Morning coffee and rolls, noon lunch, garden produce and plants, used books/puzzles/games, craft and handwork Items, bake sale, Accessory Sisters jewelry and purses, slightly worn New London-Spicer Wildcat clothing and a cookie walk.

SACRED HEART — The annual WELCA Fall Bazaar will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Hawk Creek Lutheran Church, rural Sacred Heart. Baked goods, country store, cards, fresh lefse and barbecue lunch.

SUNBURG — The fall bazaar will be from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Hope Lutheran Church in Sunburg. General store with aprons, crafts, cards and napkins; garden market; bake sale. Lunch of wild rice or vegetable soup, ham or turkey sandwiches, salad, rommegrot and pies will be available.

DAWSON — The fall festival and turkey dinner will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, at St. James Catholic Church in Dawson. Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, cranberry, salad, roll, pie and beverage. Adult tickets are $14, ages 5-12 are $10, 4 and under eat free. Take-outs are $14. Cake walk, country store and games for all ages.

ATWATER — The St. John Lutheran Church Oktober Feast will be from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, at the Atwater Community Center. German foods and music by the Wendinger Band. Adult tickets are $15, ages 5-12 are $5.

APPLETON — A lutefisk and turkey supper will be served buffet-style from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton. Lutefisk, turkey, dressing, real mashed potatoes and gravy, glazed carrots, coleslaw, homemade lefse and pie. Adult tickets are $15, ages 4 to 12 are $7, 3 and under eat free. Take-outs are $17.

LAKE LILLIAN — The fall festival will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at United Lutheran Church in Lake Lillian. Crafts, produce and baked goods for sale. Swedish meatball supper with potatoes, vegetable, coleslaw, rolls, dessert and beverage. Adult tickets are $14, ages 6-12 are $5, dine-in and take-outs available.

WILLMAR — Overflow Worship night will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at Living Hope Church in Willmar with Mark Harris and Andrea Olson. Tickets are $5 on the website overflowworship.com.

BELGRADE — The WELCA soup and sandwich supper and auction will be from 4 to 7 pm. Saturday, Oct. 8, at Crow River Lutheran Church, south of Belgrade. Chili, cream of potato/ham soup, vegetable beef soup, sloppy Joes, hot turkey sandwiches, pie and beverage. Auction begins at 7 p.m.

WILLMAR — An omelet breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, Oct. 9, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Willmar. Adult tickets are $12, ages 8-16 are $6, and under 8 eat free. Family maximum is $30. Proceeds benefit the high school scholarship fund.

LITCHFIELD — The Litchfield Area Christian Women will have a "Reading Review" coffee and rolls at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at First Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Marjo Keller, of Breckenridge, will present "Let's Review our Experiences." After many "near death" experiences, she found an amazing life as a child of God. Bring a favorite book to share with another member. If you want it returned, put your name in it and request it back. Tickets are $5. Reservations deadline is noon Oct. 11. WILLMAR — The annual fall bazaar will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 15, at the United Methodist Church in Willmar. Handmade gifts, homemade food specialties of krumkake, peanut brittle and soup. Morning coffee and rolls.
